Josh Giffin was such a pleasure to work with. He was amazing! Before arriving to Austin I contacted Austin Craft and immediately Josh was responsive. He gave me his contact number and email and took all of my parameters that I was looking for in an apartment-- in addition I wasn't even arriving in Austin for another 2 weeks and I still felt like I took priority. He sent me a list of plausible options by the next day. He was always available to answer questions and checked in on my arrival. He offered to come with me to tour all of the recommended apartments and spent the ENTIRE day doing just that. He weighed the pros and cons with me at the end of the day to decide which apartment to pursue. It didn't stop there. He guided me through the application process and called the property management a couple times to get things clarified for me. The apartment went through a management change overnight and he insured that this did not effect my experience. He really eased all of my worries and was so helpful! He saw the process through to the end and I couldn't have done it without him! This service doesn't charge the client anything but it was so worth it that I would have paid! 100% use Austin Craft Realty and ask for Josh!

My first time using an apartment locator and Josh Giffin did an amazing job. I told him my budget, desired location and my wishlist and this guy nailed it!!!

I have found that apartment locators are pretty bad at what they do. That was my experience 20 years ago, and again recently. Even the ones that said they pull data from 95% of all apartments, actually didn't. I was always able to find many apartments that were way cheaper and way closer than agents who that's all they do.

Josh Giffin was the first person that i have ever found that could actually mine all the data i needed, and super fast. No one else that i found could search apartments by year built. But Josh was able to go even further than that and pull 1 and 2 year old apartments that still had units that had not been lived in yet because some of the buildings came available later as the complex was finished out. These guys seem to be way savvier then the rest of the market. Give 'em a try. I didn't know whether to do 4 or 5 stars only because i didn't use them long nor the other agents.

Once I arrived he ran through the listings as well as answered questions about a few others I found outside my criteria.
He proceeded to spend the day touring all the properties with me! Communicating to the leasing agents what I needed and asking questions I didnt think about!

I have used apartment locators several times and overall have been satisfied with the results. But working with Josh at Austin Craft Realty has been by far my best experience with a locator.

After over a month of searching it came down to two properties. One checked all of the boxes and I knew it was the one but there was one catch – the move-in date – it was a month after my current lease ended. The other property was a close second, fit all of my criteria and timeline but the location was not as good as the first apartment. After weighing the pros and cons with Josh I decided I was willing to pay month-to-month at my current apartment and wait for the unit to be ready.

The property was brand new and still under construction but they promised a move in date that could still work…then they suddenly starting pushing the move in date out further and further. They did this numerous times and at the last minute. The leasing agent became almost unresponsive and would give vague answers to my move in. But Josh was on top of it, handing the communication and making sure to get responses from the leasing agent. My move ended up being delayed by 3 months but Josh stuck with me through it all. I love my new place and I wouldn’t be here with out Josh’s help.

The search went on for several weeks. I was struggling to find something that I really felt great about. I was dead set on a location, had a strict budget and am very particular about the amenities. This never phased Josh – he was on a mission to find exactly what I wanted.

He accompanied me to every property (and there were a lot) we even went to some twice (sorry Josh). He kept the entire process running smoothly and on track – making sure we were touring units that fit my criteria and not wasting time ones that didn’t. Josh made sure to cover all the bases on the tour – explaining my needs to the leasing agents, taking notes and photos and asking questions I hadn't even thought of. Josh Griffin was a fantastic locator. What I found the most valuable was that Josh really listened to me and didn't waste my time. A lot of locators will just send an endless amount of properties without any thought or curation and that wasn't the case with Josh. He took time to really narrow down what I was looking for and provided me with really fantastic options to look through before touring around town. And he was always highly responsive and communicative. Then when we set a date, he spent all day with me (I think we looked at 8 places). I never felt pressured or deceived. Great apartment hunters! Responsive, reliable, and honest.
We recently moved from New York to Austin, and Josh Giffin at Austin Craft Realty has been an incredible help in finding the right apartment. Josh was very responsive every time we sent an e-mail, and was diligent in answering every question we had.

After giving him some of our criteria for the apartment, he sent us a list of possible properties and specific units that he thought fit our budget and other criteria. There's a lot of legwork that goes on back there, since prices and availability changes daily for apartments in Texas -- but these aren't always reflected on the properties' website. Josh called dozens of times, even while we were on tour, to find the latest information.

On the tour day, he accompanied us to every single property and toured with us the whole time!

He never even slightly pushed us to decide one way or another, and let us carry the discussion and do all the talking and asking with the properties (and in between). That put us really at ease, since we didn't feel any pressure to make a decision then and there. He was relaxed but attentive the whole time, and was able to quickly troubleshoot any issues in terms of scheduling and seeing places.

Josh followed up with us at the end of the day and even sent us some photos of the two place we had liked best.
